My name is Sta...Guys!!!

I can't believeit!!!!

My name is Stanko! I am the singer from Porko dio!!!!

First what I have to say is that your text is beautifull!
I can explain few things. Porko dio was band from Rijeka, 1984-1989, I came 1987. We sounded like Butthole surfers. We recorded demo tape 1988, 4 channel live recording in basement. The day after recording, guitar player, Josip Maršić, went to serve YU army (it was still Yugoslavia). In the meantime I formed hc band Black and Decker. Bass player from Porko dio, Alex Červar, start to play bass with very known noise band S.ex.A.(Sedativ ex Apoteka). When Josip came back, we spend some thime in garage but we mixed all our bands with first drumer from Let 3, Nenad Tubin, and form Regoč, also very known noise band! That was 1989. Regoč record one record: Just so. After that, I moved to Amsterdam and formed Very Expensive Porno Movie. We recorded many lp-ies! Josip from Porko dio also played guitar in VEPM, singer from Regoč (Medo) and guitar player from Black and Decker also sung in VEPM. If you wanna listening all Porko dio demo, I will put those days on Youtube, all material :)
By the way, I founded this, Josip made hand-made Cd :)

http://www.discogs.com/artist/1792161-Porko-Dio

If you need more information, pleas contact me here.

By,

StankoAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15325115457432159222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5461478361281522395.post-90269555619620647892013-12-02T05:34:15.085+01:002013-12-02T05:34:15.085+01:00Thank you for such a great review of this song and...Thank you for such a great review of this song and information on the band. I heard it today on Hopi Radio and it brought back memories of how much I always loved the song-- but never knew why. Today upon hearing it -- I instantly knew as it is mysterious and fraught with anxiety. It only takes one song for a band to stand out--I mean, you know, some poets just have one terrific poem. Thanks again. I had a crush on the lead singer and he died in the early 70's from a car accient and I wad in the army (I'm a female) but I came home from Korea and my mom told that the guy was killed. Now I remember when I hear this song.. None of the oldies stations will play it not even XM. I had to look up to see what year it came out. Your quote immediatlycaught my attention. The following post is one of the best things i have read in weeks. I had to comment. As far as an inability to give a satisfactory explaination of why you feel the album is so important, i think you captured your feelings perfectly with the beginning quote. At least it struck me that way. I am going out tomorrow to fnd that album. I hope it does for me what it did for you. Okay so now im going to read more...
Sorry its so damn long. Growing up in Atlanta in the '70's&'80's used to hear it played occasionally on one of the independent radio stations. Very mysterious, low-fi weird minor key feel-always kinda reminded me of the Jaynettes "Sally Go Round The Roses." Covered by countless local punk/psych bands. Bought the reissue LP when it came out in the late '80's- some decent tunes, some truly amateurish embarrassments, but it all comes back to My Little Black Egg-what was it? Acid? Speed? The thin-shelled ovum of a guinea hen (which are black and speckled, btw)? Why was the show cancelled? Even though it was on public access the fat bastard running the thing decided to show, at length, some bizarre homo sex party. Guys getting whipped and balls getting crunched (which is what i think of now when i think of public access) anyway, he also played a-lot of old horror movies and clips of the PLAS live, which were amazing. At one show W.O.W. throws a stick of dynamite into an old muscle car, and the thing fucking BLOWS UP! I kept thinking it was a fake cigar but no, once again the real deal.
